Sodium Bicarbonate (Bicarb for short) or Baking Soda are just different names for the same thing. Sodium Bicarbonate is derived from a natural occurring mineral. It’s a salt compound of sodium ions and bicarbonate ions.
Sodium Bicarbonate is extremely alkalising let alone one of the safest most versatile substances around. From cleaning to washing, gardening to consuming, inhaling to skin care. Not to mention the endless list for health uses. You’d be amazed to see a few mentioned here.
Baking Soda balances pH levels!
Sodium Bicarbonate is a chemical that acts like a buffer. It balances our body’s pH of blood levels from becoming to acidic or too basic. One of the most important health uses is neutralising acidity. And looking at it, in the ‘olden days’, where anyone had been alkalised with Baking Soda hardly contracted diseases, and those who were sick and alkalised at early onset recovered.
Fight colds & flu’s with a generous extra dose!
When coughs, colds and flu’s are going round an extra generous dose of Sodium Bicarbonate is advisable. You be surprised, even at the onset of any colds, coughs and influenza the chances are that within 24-36 hours your symptoms will disappear. And given to all other family members, especially those school children, you may find that colds and flu’s won’t even affect them.
Don’t you think that this is a very cheap and healthy way to avoid coughs, colds and flu’s?
A healthy, inexpensive, easy and safe method forgotten by modern society!

Some swear by it and other claim that it destroyed their hair. Personally I have not tried it as my hair is in awesome condition as it is. So just watch out!
